I have worked in Early Education field for over 10 years in the public and private sector. I have a State Supervisors Permit and an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. My work experience includes teaching pre-school at Tri-City Christian School, and the Educational Enrichment Systems in the San Marcos School District. In this a state pilot program supervisors and teachers work directly with kindergarten teachers to prepare low income children for kindergarten. Since I am originally from in Sonora Mexico, I enjoyed working with primarily Hispanic children in a bi-lingual environment.
Two years ago Mission Hills Church invited me to take the challenge of opening a preschool. I accepted the challenge and it has been an incredible adventure. It has required many hours of hard work, but I have enjoyed every minute. I have an incredible staff and I feel blessed for the God given privilege to love, and care for His little ones.
I have been married for 28 years to my husband and best friend Kermit. God blessed us with three awesome children; Alex (25) a facility technician in San Diego, Jessica (22) our married daughter and a pre-school teacher in the Bay Area, and Annalise (21), who is in her senior year at Concordia University, Irvine. Our house is a zoo with three dogs, two cats, a pot belly pig, a newt and a frog.
On my free time I enjoy walking our dogs, gardening and sitting down with a great cup of coffee.
