Scott and his wife, Laura, were married in 1987 at Hume Lake Christian Camps which is also where they first met. They have two teenage children, Chelsea and Jon. The Koops live in Carlsbad and spend as much time at the beach as possible. Scott is a baseball guy but will play and watch any sport, with the exception of basketball. He loves music, backpacking, fishing, fireplaces, reading, watching old movies, good pizza (especially from Chicago) and spectacular sunsets. Things he dislikes are traffic, asparagus, too much technology, traffic, movies without a plot, bad pizza and traffic!
